Terms and Conditions
Last updated: September 21, 2026
These Terms and Conditions apply to all website design and development services provided by Sooraj Areekkal through www.soorajareekkal.in. By confirming a project, paying an advance, or using my services, you agree to the following terms.
1 Scope of Work
- The services, features, pages, deliverables, timeline, and pricing will be defined in the approved proposal or project agreement.
- Work requested outside the agreed project scope may require additional time and charges.
- Any change to the original requirements must be discussed and approved before implementation.
2 Client Responsibilities
The client is responsible for:
- Providing accurate project requirements, content, images, logos, brand materials, login details, and necessary approvals on time.
- Ensuring that all supplied content and media can be legally used.
- Reviewing submitted work and providing clear, consolidated feedback without unnecessary delays.
- Maintaining backups of important business information shared during the project.
Delays in receiving content, feedback, payment, or access may affect the delivery schedule.
3 Project Timeline
- The estimated completion date will be provided before the project begins.
- The timeline starts after the advance payment and all required materials have been received.
- Delivery dates may change if the project scope is modified or if the client delays feedback, content, access, or approval.
- Unexpected technical issues or third-party service delays may also affect the schedule.
4 Revisions
- The number of revisions included will be stated in the selected package or proposal.
- Revisions apply only to the originally approved project scope.
- Major design changes, new pages, additional features, or repeated changes after approval may require an additional fee.
- Revision requests must be provided clearly and preferably in a single consolidated message.
5 Payments
- A 50% advance payment is required before work begins unless another payment schedule is agreed upon in writing.
- The remaining balance must be paid before the final website launch, migration, or handover.
- Work may be paused when a scheduled payment is overdue.
- Additional work outside the agreed scope will be quoted separately.
- Payments can be made through Google Pay, Paytm, or bank transfer.
6 Refund Policy
- The advance payment is generally non-refundable once the project has started.
- If I am unable to begin or complete the agreed work, an appropriate refund may be issued based on the unfinished portion of the project.
- Refunds will not be provided for work that has already been completed, approved, delivered, or delayed because of missing client materials, access, feedback, or communication.
- Third-party expenses, including domain, hosting, premium themes, plugins, applications, licences, and service subscriptions, are non-refundable.
7 Ownership and Copyright
- The client will receive ownership of the completed website after all outstanding payments have been made.
- Until full payment is received, the design, code, files, and other deliverables remain my property.
- Third-party themes, plugins, fonts, images, software, and licences remain subject to their respective providers’ terms.
- The client is responsible for ensuring that supplied text, images, logos, videos, and other materials do not violate copyright or intellectual-property rights.
8 Domain, Hosting and Third-Party Services
- Domain registration, hosting, premium plugins, themes, licences, email services, payment gateways, and other third-party costs are not included unless clearly mentioned in the proposal.
- The client is responsible for renewing these services on time.
- I am not responsible for downtime, data loss, price changes, policy changes, security incidents, or technical failures caused by third-party providers.
- Any third-party account purchased for the project should be registered using the client’s official details whenever possible.
9 Website Maintenance and Support
- Post-launch support is limited to the period and services stated in the agreed package or proposal.
- Ongoing maintenance, content updates, backups, security monitoring, performance optimisation, and technical support may require a separate maintenance plan.
- Problems caused by client changes, third-party updates, expired licences, hosting issues, malware, or unauthorised access may incur additional charges.
10 Project Approval and Launch
- The client must review and approve the website before launch.
- Once final approval is provided, requests for design or functional changes may be treated as additional work.
- The client is responsible for checking business information, pricing, contact details, spelling, policies, product information, and legal content before approving the website.
11 Limitation of Liability
- I aim to deliver secure, responsive, and functional websites, but uninterrupted or completely error-free operation cannot be guaranteed.
- I am not liable for indirect losses, loss of revenue, loss of data, search-ranking changes, advertising performance, business interruption, or issues caused by third-party services.
- The client is responsible for maintaining suitable backups after the website is handed over.
- Any liability related to the project will be limited to the amount paid for the specific service concerned, where permitted by applicable law.
12 Project Cancellation
- Either party may cancel a project by providing written notice.
- If the client cancels after work has started, payment will be required for all work completed and costs incurred up to the cancellation date.
- Completed work and final project files will be released only after all outstanding payments have been settled.
- I may suspend or cancel a project due to non-payment, abusive communication, unlawful requests, or continued failure to provide necessary information.
13 Portfolio Usage
Unless confidentiality has been agreed upon in writing, I may display the completed project, website link, screenshots, and a brief project description in my portfolio, website, social media, or promotional materials. Confidential business information will not be shared.
14 Changes to These Terms
These Terms and Conditions may be updated when my services, business practices, or applicable requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page with the updated revision date.
